Coaches and managers volunteer to take on these roles and

contribute their own time for the enjoyment and development

of players within the Club.

Duty statements are available for Coaches and Team Managers.

Team Managers and Coaches are advised that before the

commencement of the current season that both the

 Member Protection Declaration (Form E) and 

Team Officials Agreement (Form R) forms must be completed

and sent to the Public Officer.

Managers and Coaches are also required to attend a team officials meeting, that will be held before the season starts. Team officials will be notified of the time and date of the meeting and will receive all team information for the season in the form of team information kits.

Training time requests should be sent to the Junior Co-coordinator and when all requests have been received a training allocation list will be published below for the current season.


The club will provide equipment to each coach for use during the season. This equipment includes items such as footballs, training equipment such as cones and football apparel including strips, goalkeeper jumpers and gloves. All apparel issued by the club to any individual, coach, team manager etc remains the property of the club and must be returned at the end of the season. Failure to return equipment may result in a fee being charged.

Online coaching course

The Beginning Coaching General Principles online course has been developed to assist new coaches improve their basic coaching skills, in particular, those coaches working with children. Coaches can complete the course in their own time, from the comfort of their own home. It is offered free of charge to Australian coaches by the Australian Sports Commission. The course contains five modules, covering a range of general coaching topics, including the role and responsibilities expected of a coach, planning, safety, working with parents, communication, group management and inclusive coaching practices when working with people with a disability or special population groups. It takes about 6 hours to complete. Go to the Australian Sports Commission learning portal for more information on the course, and to enroll.

Risk Management and Safe Football

The Safe Football Induction Programme incorporates an online tutorial designed to keep football as safe as possible and to assist in demonstrating to our insurers (Gow Gates) the strong commitment football has to risk management.

By completing the Safe Football Induction Programme, you will gain practical and valuable knowledge on how to assess and manage potential risks and identify hazards that may present an exposure for serious injuries in and around our club.

It is recommended that all coaches, captains, managers etc. complete the tutorial. On completion of this tutorial, a ‘Certificate of Accreditation’ will be provided.

Working with Vulnerable People Registration

Since November 2014, coaches and volunteers are required to obtain a Working with Vulnerable People Registration. Further information can be obtained at
