Frequently Asked Questions

Where does Brindabella play their games?

Brindabella’s home grounds are in Calwell at Calwell Oval. Miniroos (u6s, u7s, u8s and u9s) train and play all their games at Calwell. Juniors (u10s to u18s) and Women’s team train and play their home games at Calwell but play their away games at venues across Canberra and in some instances across southern NSW.

Do I need to trial and be graded?

If you are looking to play football for fun with your friends, you do not need to attend a preseason grading session. When you register, include in your details who you would like to play with and the club will do its best to accommodate those wishes.

If you are looking for something more competitive, attending the trial sessions will allow the club to test your skill levels and place you in the most appropriate team.

Can I play football for Brindabella and another sport?

The simple answer is, yes. In the junior teams over recent years, there has been loads of girls who have played football and other sports, such as swimming, netball or Aussie Rules. As long as the training and game times don’t clash it is possible to play and be competitive in multiple sports.
