Return To Football - BBFC
Our aim as a Club is first and foremost to ensure player and people safety. This is a time for BBFC to really come together as club/group and help us to make sure that our children and players can be in a safe and nurturing environment.
This update provides information on the Club's approach to resuming football, noting a date for the start to 'competition' is yet to be set. So, our focus is to ensure our plan and procedures are compliant before resuming activities.
Capital Football produced a Return to Football set of practices for the club to comply with before the resumption of any football related activity. There is a long and important list of items to comply with before the club resumes 'training' including the production of a Club Covid Safe Plan to be approved by CF. Completion of this plan requires collaboration and consultation and will take time to be done effectively.
BBFC as a club, aim to ensure compliance with the requirements along with effective communication and understanding amongst our players and parents before the start of any club activity. I understand that this will be frustrating to many players and volunteers.
Above we have the BBFC Return to Football Training Plan that is required to commence training. This plan covers everything from arrival and departure times, sanitisation protocols, the reporting and recording of attendance at training and everything in between. The plan needs to cover all training venues and age groups, as outlined in the link above.
Consideration around training now has a whole series of caveats including player distancing, number of players in a space at a given time, no carpooling, the need to list all players in a given session, no movement between sessions, etc. This information is available through BBFC's Plan.
BBFC at this time has decided to stagger training starting dates for different groups (dates will be provided soon) to make sure that the plan is achievable and can be adjusted if required. There will also be changes to training times for age groups and the length of training sessions. Once we get in contact with coaches and managers this will be explained further. These additional protocols will require volunteer support within the Club to help manage some requirements - i.e. marshalling at drop off and pick up points so to keep our children and players safe.
I will be asking coaches and team mangers to help facilitate these rolls. The Club Secretary will be in touch with meeting, these video conferences will be conducted in age groups as our plan pertains to age breakdowns.
I would also like to thank the committee and volunteers for the work done this year in unusual circumstances, you have been amazing. Whilst the world has slowed down these people have not, so Thank You!
Yours on Football.
PATHWAY TO BBFC NPL
BBFC has an exciting new opportunity for aspiring football players. We have put in place a BBFC Pathway to Premier League squad—an excellent opportunity for aspiring players, including for players who may miss out on selection for NPL In 2020. The Pathway to Premier League squad will play in the Under 15s or 16s Division 1 in 2020, aiming to develop players to be successful in Under 16s NPL the following season. They will train with the 2020 NPL players—so premier league coaching and training for community football rates. This squad is particularly suited to those players turning 14 or 15 in 2020.
Brindabella Blues Football Club also still has a couple of spots left in its Under 14s National Premier League team, including a goal keeping position. Generally this would suit players born in 2006 but capable 2007 born players will also be considered.
To take advantage of these opportunities and arrange a trial, contact:
Mark Dubbert on 0406 375 063
Karl Marjoribanks on 0407 916 523
Trials are available on Monday or Tuesday evenings at Calwell Ovals from 5.15pm.
Monaro Panthers and Brindabella Blues have formed an exciting partnership to field combined teams in the 2020 NPLW competition.
We have one or two foundation positions in our Women's Reserve Premier League, u17s, including a Goal Keeper and under 13s.
